Why I Love You...

I love you because my day feels worthwhile.
You helped me escape the facade.
You give me dreams of hope.
When my heart broke, you held the shards.
 

I love you because you make me strong.
I feel lifted in your presence.
You're the gift I needed to receive.
You are my life's essence.

I love you just when you're you.
The times in each others arms.
The moments we spent in each soul.
I'll never let you come to harm.

I love you because you give my life meaning.
I now have a quest I must complete.
Me, the hero, life, the adventure and you, the girl.
You know I'll brave this daring feat.

I love you because you leave an impression.
In everyone you meet, greet and see.
but the impression I love the most,
Is the impression you left in me.

I love you because your smile warms me.
That shy little expression that only I notice.
It's an energy that drives me on.
A boost to keep me 'til our next kiss.

I love you because you make time still.
A second away feels like an eternity.
A touch lasts millennia.
A kiss sets me free.

I love you because, now, I can dream.
I see me and you together.
Our life will shine through the darkness.
Our hearts will forever be tethered.

I love you because you give me courage.
Courage to carry on and fight.
To live as an immortal knight.
And find the strength to do what's right.

I love you because you let my heart sing.
Even though I'm out of time and tune.
But you listen and say how good I am,
And I will sing in person, soon.

I love you because of the sorrow you cause.
It may sound weird and lead you astray.
But it's the sorrow I feel,
When I know you're far away.

I love you because you show me hope.
You prove that life isn't a desolate wasteland.
Yet, even though you help me cope,
You need someone to hold your hand.

I love you because of the way you look.
It's a myth that all angels have wings.
Your body inspires and drives me wild.
Your aura is beautiful and the feelings it brings.

I love you because I can feel your heart.
It expels innocence and happiness.
It radiates and absorbs into me.
Causing content fulfilment and a raging restlessness.

I love you because of the things you say.
The way you call me a hero,
The emotions explode all at once.
And there are far too many to show.

I love you because of the things you do.
The way you hold me close and feel so warm.
The amazing way you endure.
And the way you simply touch me to keep me calm.

I love you because I can't help it.
I feel the need to do as you say.
Your words are commanding, yet sweet.
It is a voice I must obey.

I love you because of your effort.
You waste far too much money, just to call.
You'll go to mad lengths so you can say,
You'll always catch me whenever I fall.

I love you because you saved my soul.
You pulled me from the darkness and said,
"I love you, my dear knight."
Those words always stayed in my head.

I love you because you're always there.
Whenever I need to cry or laugh.
And, as such, I repay.
"A Yorkshire man doesn't do things in halves."

I love the way you boost my ego.
And the way it makes you giggle.
The innuendos make me laugh.
So, I reply in riddles.

I love you because the soul you have,
carries love, truth, trust and care.
And because, through thick and thin,
Their burden is yours to bear.

I love you because you're mine.
I know you can't love anyone else the way you love me.
I know you are devoted,
And as truthful as could be.

I love you because you listen.
You don't judge me because of my past.
It's something so rare.
I WILL make this love last.

I love you because your name echoes.
Through my black heart and complex mind.
It's a constant reminder,
Of how rare you are to find.

I love you because you make me feel vain.
I always want to look good.
But, away from vanity.
I want to give you the best life I could.

I love you because I feel so needed.
We are bound by this need on this mortal coil.
So, while we have this sacred life,
I will make you feel royal.

I love you because I'm not alone.
I don't have to walk into the wild on my own.
Together, we're so much stronger,
So prepare the future for a change of tone.

I love you because you're still young.
The life we lead makes us grow up faster.
Yet, you still have playfulness and innocence.
All relationships need this. And this one has to.

I love you because you feel my pain.
You know what I've been through and understand.
You take it all away,
And leave me walking on sand.

I love you because of what you did.
Do you remember the hardened shell?
That dark little soulless corner?
You brought me from that hell.

I love you because you're different.
You aren't what they call, "The average girl."
And it is this individualism,
That makes you my entire world.

I love you because you believe in me.
You believe what I say is true.
Now, usually, this is a weakness.
But you know I'll never lie to you.

I love you because, between us, words mean nothing.
All we have to do is give a look.
We know what each other means.
Ha. Even which one of us is going to cook!

I love you because you mean everything to me.
To me, you're more precious than gold.
You'll mean more than this throughout life.
Throughout the days when we're grey and old.

I love you because you love my faults.
My unusually shaped body and the way it goes.
Even when I bite my nails.
And even if I picked my nose. :P

I love you because you make my heart flare.
The burning ferocity you give me is a gift.
It helps me protect you through the hard times,
But hurts so much when you're missed.

I love you, my beautiful angel.
And there's so much I want you to know.
But paper's short, my hand's hurting,
So now I shall go.

But before I do and return to mind.
There is one thing I have to say.
I love you; Heart, mind and soul.
'Til my dying day.
