Look What You've Done
I cry from all the things I have had to endure.
And this. This is all you can procure.
As I mask my face from yours.
My heart feels like lions paws.
Sharp, Hard, Jagged and rough.
Broken, splintered, enough's enough.
And so, you leave.
Without a whisper of a word.
But I'll always breathe.
Just 'cause I'm absurd.
You twisted my mind and tore me apart.
Then you begged, ‘Let’s go back to the start’.
I stared into your eyes and saw your sorrow.
But those aren’t your tears. From whom do you borrow?
You crushed me like a glass shard.
I never saw your heart as hard.
Now you want me and say ‘Forgive me.’
No deal. I’ve had enough of the lies.
I’ll do whatever I have to, to make you see.
I’ll break all of my emotional ties.
I gave up and wanted to run.
But you imprisoned me from the sun.
I had a life and you took it away.
I had fun once, but that’s another day.
You said you loved me. How could you lie?
And now I’m leaving. How dare you ask why?
I didn’t want it to be this way, but it must.
Your voice is cold and I feel for you no more.
What do you call a relationship without trust?
Just one more thing before I walk through the door.
I’ve hated you since you killed every part of me.
Never call for me in the cold.
Now you’ll see.
You’ve been told.
