All pawns?
Every person on
this miserable pit of despair called a planet believes that they are in control
of their lives.
I think not.
I look at day to
day life and realise that we are changed by indefinable factors that bend our
wills.
Quite a lot.
Some believe we
are all pawns where we have no control over ourselves because of these factors.
Are they right?
Yes and no. We are
inevitably changed and morphed by these invisible factors that play us like
pawns.
Even if we fight.
The difference
between pawn, bishop, king queen and rook is very simple. You have to do one
thing.
What is it?
Look. Look and
realise that no matter how hard we fight, we are controlled and formed into
society.
One small bit.
Everyone makes a
part and eventually, when we view the whole, we call ourselves 'society'.
Is that it?
No. There are some
whose place isn't definable and isn't as clear cut as the rest. Who haven't a
place.
Those who don't fit.
These are the
rare. These see past the factors and to the causes, then change them.
Am I one?
To some degree,
yes. I changed the root and changed myself, but not completely. I must warn you.
It isn't fun.
If you don't fit
in, you pay a price. You are quickly taken and discarded unless you're sharp.
Yet we hold the key.
If you're part of
the game, then that's all you'll be. We have advantage. We can be a player and
be a factor.
We'll control you. You can't control me.
((Dedicated to all those who want to be with the 'in' crowd or those who want to be popular. You'll be played all your life. Being 'influenced' on how you should appear to others. I will never be this image that people want me to be, and yes, I'll take the torture that comes with not being a piece in the jigsaw of society, but I'll surpass all that I attempt and will not be formed by those around me or the things that have happened in my life. If you are in the same situation as me and are experiencing the torture, grit your teeth and bear it. I can't promise that it will get better, nor that we'll come out on top, but I can say that we'll be a bane to many, an inspiration to a few and the only ones to see what life is really like, from the highest point in the chain, to the lowest.))
