Shallow

How shallow are we? Or to be more precise. How shallow are you?

What do you rely on, day to day? Do you rely on material possessions?

Everyone does. Everyone has let material possessions dictate their lives.

Women meet up and talk about what they read in a magazine, what they saw on TV, what they bought in the supermarket. Men talk about what their next car is going to be, what type of extension they’re having, how their garden is.

How much do we rely on material possessions?

I believe we rely too much on material possessions and concentrate less on the simple things in life that can’t simply be bought or made.

You can’t buy a pure black night with a perfect view of the crystalline stars and the brilliant white moon.

Why do we ignore these miracles of nature just to play on a computer game or phone friends on a fully customised mobile phone with the multi-accessory pack?

As the title states, I believe people are shallow. Shallow enough to black out the things they don’t want to hear just so they can return to their simple world of their own.

I, however, like to watch the miracles. The dew drawing itself further down a leaf in the cold mist of a grey morning. I like to see the entire world, not just a dream or a filtered reality.

I find it easier to describe life if I view it completely, all aspects, not just one.
