Ku'Dos
I think back to all of the achievements in my life and I find several that would be blessed with kudos, but none that I believe deserve this honoured title.
Many of us feel we have achieved a lot of great things in our lives, but when I compare my achievements to the great works of Einstein and Newton, I feel somehow belittled by the sheer magnitude of these great demonstrations of mental ability.
However, I don’t just think of famous scientists and mathematicians. I think of all achievers. Those that inspire me. I think of famous philosophers such as Socrates and the great poets, Aristotle and Homer. I think of famous play writers such as Shakespeare and Andrew Lloyd Webber. I also think of great composers such as Bach and Beethoven.
When I look at these great-minded people in our history, it makes me feel like all of my achievements are mere grains of sand next to the excellence that they have achieved.
“What has this got to do with Kudos?”
Well. I look at their achievements and I think, yes, they deserve kudos. But don’t we all.
Every day, we have to achieve this magical glory to live. Without it, we wouldn’t have the will to carry on in life.
It is because of kudos that people continue to compete with everyone they can. We all want to be able to say that I have achieved something today, and it is that determination and that will to continue that I believe deserves the kudos.
From this, I conclude that I see every day as a magical glory. Not because of the things I achieve in the day, but because I am there that day. I am in the world on that day. I am here.
