Harmonic Music
A lot of my writing is cynical and very downhearted, but this time I will tell of something that has a big influence on me. This is music.
Music is very hard to define.
My poetic definition is simple. I see music as a wave of magical energy washing over the mind, inspiring simple thoughts that elaborate and connect until the entire mind is in an explosion of imagination.
Music does carry some type of mystical energy though. This powerful energy has the strange ability to alter our emotions with the different, particular chords that are played.
Am I the only one to feel this? I strongly doubt it. This is a possessive force that cannot be ignored.
Next time you listen to music, sit and listen to the chords, notes and different instruments played. Ignore the words. Each instrument will play a different octave, sound level and note pattern. When you put all the instruments together with their own individuality, when you can hear every single note of the song from every instrument, then and only then can we feel the full potential the song has to change our emotions.
I listen to music and leave myself to drift into the sea of harmonics that carry me from emotion to emotion and from this, I pick up new things to inspire me. Rather than create perspectives, I use music to help me voice the ones I already have but don’t know about. I let music cocoon me in a chrysalis of harmonical clarity. The experience is a magical sensation filled with the extreme of every emotion.
This is just one of the things that keep me sane.
